Liquid Hydrogen Fuel Tanks for Trucks

Our advanced liquid hydrogen fuel system for trucks oﬀers an optimal blend of performance and safety. There are two types of tanks included: primary cryogenic tanks and boil-oﬀ tanks.

The primary tank is a cryogenic storage unit, which utilizes both vacuum and multi-layer insulations to maintain the hydrogen in its liquid state.

Our system is made with low pressures of 10/25 bars (both options work for the system), with a stark contrast to the 700 bars of gaseous hydrogen storage systems. This significant pressure reduction greatly enhances the safety of our system, reducing risks associated with high-pressure storage.

The boil-oﬀ tank is dedicated to collecting any hydrogen released by safety valves in case of reaching the critical pressure in the cryogenic tanks. This solution prevents hydrogen wastage and maintains uninterrupted feeding of the fuel cell.

Our Liquid Hydrogen pack has a higher energy capacity in comparison to its gaseous version, significantly extending ranges and resulting in fewer refueling stops.

Liquid Hydrogen Tank-Containers

Transporting liquid hydrogen safely and efficiently is crucial, and our transport tanks are up to the task. Ranging from 5 to 50 ft in size, these tanks are equipped with advanced technology that ensures a non-drainage storage period of up to 40 days. This means the hydrogen remains in the system without losses, providing maximum utility.

Our tank-containers are designed with both vacuum and multi-layer insulations, as well as with a nitrogen screen for the maximization of a non-drainage period. One of our standout innovations is the improved fixation of the inner vessel within the outer vessel, which significantly reduces heat losses.

Specifically designed for trucks, our hydrogen fuel tanks come in two sizes, catering to diﬀerent needs. With storage capacities of 95 and 125 kg of liquid hydrogen, these tanks are perfect for long-haul journeys.
