European Coolergy S.L. (headquartered in Madrid) has signed an agreement with NITRO AEROSPACE S.L. to supply two hydrogen fuel cell mobile aircraft charging units (Coolergizers) for use at airfields, including at Ciudad Real International Airport (CRIA).
The Coolergizers will have a unit power capacity of 80 kW, which will provide external charging of power systems and parking power supply for small and medium-class aircraft, including business jets.
The Coolergizers are to be delivered by the end of November 2025.
Coolergizer is a trademark of Coolergy S.L., denoting a family of mobile (portable) electrochemical current generators that run on hydrogen. The power capacity of the hydrogen electric generators ranges from 40 to 300 kW, voltage from 27 to 380 V. Serial production of generators is expected at the Coolergy S.L. production sites in Spain and Estonia.
In April, Coolergy conducted a trans-European test run with Coolergiazer from Tallinn via Narva to Madrid with stops and test charges with electric connections of electric cars, a yacht, an airplane, a scooter, a locomotive, a sea tug, and a welding machine.
Coolergy S.L. specializes in hydrogen solutions in the transport sector and hydrogen production. In addition to the hydrogen fuel cell power generators, Coolergy S.L., by order of one of the largest European carriers of refrigerated products, is implementing a project to build a mobile refrigerator powered by a fuel cell running on liquefied hydrogen. The company is also developing a project for a shunting locomotive powered by liquefied hydrogen fuel cells for one of the major European ports. The company operates primarily in Spain, the Baltic States and North Africa.
