French authorities approve hydrogen import terminal project at Le Havre port
The French Ministry of Finance has announced that it has selected the winners of three industrial projects, one of which is a hydrogen import terminal to be built at the state-run port of Le Havre. The project, worth an estimated 1.1 billion euros, is proposed by Air Products. In July this year Air Products announced that it had signed a contract with TotalEnergies for the annual supply in Europe of 70,000 tons of green hydrogen starting in 2030. This first long-term deal follows TotalEnergiesā call for tenders for the supply of 500,000 tons per year of green hydrogen to decarbonise TotalEnergiesā European refineries.
