AeroDelft: Liquid Hydrogen-Powered Plane to Fly in 2026
AeroDelf, a non-profit student group based at Delft University in the Netherlands, unveiled a flying model of a hydrogen fuel cell aircraft at the European Hydrogen Week in Brussels. The team is building a 2-seater Sling 4 aircraft powered by a hydrogen fuel cell. The group's representative at the show said the first human flight of the aircraft on gaseous hydrogen will take place in 2025, with the first flight on liquid hydrogen in 2026.
